Description:

This heavy-duty two head machine is specially engineered and is designed and built to give the machine long life and durability. The model 2037MW-DB consists of one contact drum sanding head running a 37″ x 75″ abrasive belt and one ScotchBrite barrel brush with variable speed control on the feed belt and abrasive belt oscillation designed to run in a wet operation for running / finishing various types of materials

Standard Features:

The first sanding head has a 6″ diameter contact drum running a 37″ x 75″ long abrasive belt and is powered by a 20 HP motor. The second station consists of a ScotchBrite barrel brush with a 15 HP motor for final finishing. All sanding stations are equipped with coolant spray headers on each side of the media contact/sanding areas which keep the parts being processed cool and keeps the abrasive media from being prematurely loaded, giving you longer life of the abrasives and the finest finish

The model 2037MW-DB also comes with a motorized conveyor table to allow operator to easily change to the desired thickness. This unit also comes with a variable frequency drive on the conveyor drive motor, allowing the operator to adjust the conveyor feed speed from 5 to 25 feet per minute by simply turning a dial on the control panel. A pivoting door is positioned above the conveyor at the infeed area and acts as an e-stop for the operator when loading the machine. This pivoting door will activate a limit switch which will shut down the abrasive belt head and conveyor feed in emergency situations preventing damage to the machine or possible injury

The height for each sanding head can be adjusted independently of one another and the machine will have the ability to reserve direction of the conveyor belt with a selector switch for ease of set-up and bringing heavier parts back to the starting point

The thickness setting for the conveyor bed is motor driven and comes with a digital programmable keypad. This allows for quick changes in thickness settings of materials to be processed. And has a programmable thickness setting feature for storing up to ten presets

The machine comes with a digital thickness indicator for the conveyor bed position in relation to grinding belt for an accurate set-up to .001″. This indicator will also allow the operator to enter in a desired thickness setting and as they hit enter, the machine will close or open to the position entered by the operator. The conveyor bed is a constant pass machine supported with four heavy duty jacks to ensure stability and precision needed when running heavier parts

This machine also comes equipped with an automatic paper media filtration unit mounted on casters and positioned underneath the machine to easily control sanding debris/waste or “swarf” produced when operating the machine. This also assists to keep any dust produced when operating machine, contained bin the machine paper filtration unit. The automatic paper media filter system is designed to strain/separate out grinding debris and keep coolant system clean. The filter bed rolls out the machine on wheels for easy access for maintenance and cleaning

The wet machine is designed and built with spray headers that spray fluid over the part being processed. The spray headers are positioned before and after each sanding station for removing swarf. Spray heads are also positioned inside the stainless steel bed of the machine to move the swarf into the filter bed. Indicators in the fluid tank show minimum and maximum fluid amount for ease of use. Spray hose and nozzles come standard with the machine for filling tank and cleaning purposes

Equipment Included:

Dual Infeed and Outfeed Hold-Down Rolls: Dual rubber-covered, spring-loaded rolls assist in holding the parts down on the conveyor as they pass through the machine to help prevent unwanted slipping and “skip marks” on processed parts

Air Operated Disc Brake: Used to stop the contact roll to assure consistent abrasive belt and brush head stoppage in approximately four seconds. This braking system will not fade under continuous braking and has a non-sparking, easily replaceable linings. The brake disc is located on the main motor shaft for easy maintenance

Centralized Control Panel: Simple operator controls for machine operation. Conveyor feed, speed, abrasive belt and/or brush head are controlled at this centralized station

Motor Load Meter: Provided for each head to show the exact percentage of main motor horsepower being used during operation

Hour Meter: Shows the actual running time of the machine. This assists your maintenance/service personnel do scheduled lubrication of key components at proper intervals when using the hour meter

Air Knife Blower and Squeegee Rolls: The machines come with a pair of air knives combined with four squeegee rolls which are placed at the outfeed/exit area of the machine and are positioned to hit the parts being processed on both the top and bottom as they exit the machine, giving you dry-to-the-touch parts
